Top 7 Go-To Summer Cocktails

Although Summer seems to have disappeared and has been replaced with rain this week, the recent heatwave across the UK meant that we were all in need of a refreshing cocktail. 

However, we can still imagine that the sun is shining by making a nice refreshing Summer cocktail or 2, and here are our favourite recipes to do so… 

The Best Summer Cocktails 

1. Strawberry Margarita 

The popular strawberry margarita is perfect for summer, made up of fresh strawberries, tart lime and tequila. Extra points for using ice to make it extra refreshing! 

2. Watermelon Mojito 

We all know that watermelon is a perfect snack on the beach, and it’s even better in a cocktail. Combined with rum and mint, it’s the perfect go to on a hot summer day. 

3. Pink Lemonade Martini 

Pink Lemonade is all the rage this summer, and using it in a cocktail is a real winner. Make this cocktail using pink lemonade, Limoncello, vodka and cranberry juice. 

4. Citrus Mint Sangria 

There’s nothing like a sangria to get you in the summer spirit, so take a spin on the traditional recipe by using lemons, lime and fresh mint with dry white wine to get the perfect cocktail.. 

5. Frose 

Remember earlier we mentioned adding ice to your cocktail? Well this cocktail takes it one step further - blend frozen Rosé with syrup, Aperol and fresh lemon juice to get the perfect cooling cocktail. 

6. Grilled Pineapple Mojito 

Popping some Pineapple on your BBQ is the new way to mix up your cocktail. Mix lime juice, agave nectar, mint, rum and pineapple juice together and top with your now caramelised pineapple and you’re onto a winner! 

7. Blueberry Mojito 

Adding fresh blueberries to your Mojito recipe is a sure winner to a refreshing and colourful drink that will please every BBQ guest, and bring out the pomegranate seeds if you want to add an extra splash of colour!
