Burning Barn's Fiery Autumn Cocktails

It’s that time of year again. The first fire in the Burning Barn cabin marks the start of autumn and a shift from the refreshing fruity drinks of summer to warming autumnal offerings. In our little cabin we’ve been whisking up some fiery cocktails that with blow the socks off a Starbucks Spiced Pumpkin Latte any day and are sure to warm the cockles of soaked through walkers across the nation. Ideal to be enjoyed next to a roaring fire or the perfect companion for weekend hikes.

Pumpkin Spiced Bloody Mary

An alcoholic autumnal take on a summer smoothie, which will send your Vitamin C levels soaring. If you have a juicer, juice bright orange fruit and veg including - oranges, carrot, pumpkin, bell pepper and orange tomatoes (we used sungold variety). Alternatively grab an orange fruit and veg juice (Innocent or Naked juices work fantastically) add pumpkin flesh blend and strain through a fine sieve.

Recipe:
1 pint Homemade"Pumpkin" Juice
25 ml - Burning Barn Spiced Rum
25 ml - Burning Barn Smoked Rum

To taste:
Tabasco
Worcestershire Sauce
Lemon Juice
Horse radish
Salt and Pepper

Pour into hollowed out mini Pumpkins and serve with garnish of celery/rainbow chard and pickles.

Hot Apple and Honey Spiced Rum Punch

Nothing says 'autumn' quite like the aroma of apples and cinnamon. The apple flavour plays perfectly with the spiciness of our Spiced Rum and the cinnamon slowly infuses even more flavour into the punch. An ideal cocktail to try if you've got your hands on one of our Burning Barn Gift Boxes.
